How does Botox and Dysport with sweat?
Treatment with Botox or Dysport (Botulinum toxin) It helps control symptoms of severe underarm sweating when topical medications do not work well enough. Botox works by blocking temporarily chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When the sweat glands do not receive chemical signals, profuse sweating stops. Botox injections are used to temporarily stop production of excessive sweating in the treated areas only. Sweat still occurs elsewhere.
But, what about the sweat that should have appeared?
Sweat does not move or go anywhere, simply it does not occur in the treated areas with botox. Remember, the rest of your body will produce sweat normally.
